Drexel Hillel Student Leadership Teams

Hillel at Drexel has a number of ways to get involved in leadership even if you don't want to run for Hillel board.  Below is a listing of all of our committees.

Sign up to be a part of a committee for Spring 2011 through Winter 2012 here!

Alternative Spring Break: Responsibilities of this committee include helping to choose a location and project for our Alternative Spring Break in conjunction with Hillel International’s ASB grant program (April). Coordinate recruitment, registration, and pre-trip education for our ASB (Fall – Winter). Coordinate student leadership of the trip (on the trip). Coordinate opportunities for post-trip engagement.

Shabbat Team: Assist in planning and execution of Shabbat experiences on campus. Brainstorm themes. Participate in advertisement and promotion. Help coordinate set-up, clean-up of Shabbat events. Help to solicit new volunteers to lead Shabbat services, alternative experiences, meal blessings and divrei torah.

Social Team: Help plan Hillel’s social events! Brainstorm ideas for our biggest events (Purim and Chanukah), help create other opportunities for social engagement with Jewish Drexel students and Jewish students from other campuses.

New Student Days / Welcome Back Week Team: Help Hillel make a lasting impression during New Student Days and Welcome Back Week. Plan events, organize give-aways (welcome bags), and create other ways to help new and returning students feel welcome and excited about Hillel. Committee will meet during the Spring term (depending on committee composition will find ways to meet / communicate over the Summer term as needed). First Years are HIGHLY ENCOURAGED to join this committee!

High Holiday Team: Help us plan how we will celebrate Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur and Sukkot on Campus. Organize services, meals, and all high holiday related activities (Break-fast, Apples and Honey give aways, sukkah building, other sukkot activities etc).
