Comments / Other Events:
Germantown Jewish Centre (GJC) is a vibrant, pluralistic, egalitarian synagogue. Our three minyans (prayer groups) offer a variety of options for the high holidays and all year round. GJC is not located in Center City, but we're about a 20 minute car ride from Temple University and also quite accesible via the R8 (Regional Rail) train. In addition to Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services students are welcome to GJC's Yom Kippur afternoon program "Confronting Moral Choices in the Making of Public Policy" with Harris Steinberg and Andrew Altman, both involved in the current debate over riverfront casinos in Philadelphia. Students also welcome to our Sukkot and Simchat Torah services and celebrations.
