Jewish Learning and Leadership: Exploring Jewish Prayer and Spiritual Practices

Jan 30 2012 - 6:00pm to 7:00pm
Location:
Intercultural Center 2nd Floor Lounge

Join us as Drexel Hillel's weekly learning sessions with Rabbi Isabel continue. Winter term will be dedicated to learning more about Jewish prayer and spiritual practices.  Our first session will look at prayer and spiritual practice from a birds-eye-view, the rest of the term will be an indepth examination of the Friday Night liturgy with emphasis on understanding what the prayers mean, how they are structured, and how different streams of Jewish practice have adapted, evolved and interacted with these prayer experiences over time.  We will also have time to talk about our personal experiences with Jewish spiritual practices that move us (or don't!).

Snacks provided.  Sessions will build upon each other, but drop ins will also always feel able to access what is going on!
